Sisterly Care Ltd was created and set up by two sisters, Frances and Julie. The family have an established background of nursing – their mother and elder brother are fully qualified nurses and own two Residential Care Homes, Easterlea Rest Home in Denmead, where their elder sister is the Registered Manager and Elizabeth Lodge in Alverstoke Gosport.
Julie and Frances have over thirty years’ experience in the care industry and both have qualifications ranging from NVQ 2 to Diploma level 5.
They still enjoy going out and working alongside their care staff at times, which enables them to have first-hand contact with their service users and allows them to witness their staff delivering the high standard of care they expect.
Due to having personal experience of home care services for family members Frances decided the standard of care being given could have been better. The idea for Sisterly Care Ltd was born, she just had to convince Julie!
Sisterly Care’s priority is to ensure that all staff are fully trained to the highest standards.
Our management promotes an on-going self-development through various mandatory and voluntary courses, for all their staff. This also ensures that staff are trained to the best level and are using the most up to date techniques.
The basis of our service is to deliver a person-centred package of care that caters for individual needs in a manner that respects dignity, rights, and choices.
Frances and Julie are proud of the fact that all their staff deliver a high standard of care and often go above and beyond the call of duty, especially during difficult times.
The success of this approach was reflected by the recent award of Runner Up in ‘Carer of the Year 2014’, sponsored by The News.
