Sisterly Care Ltd was created and set up by two sisters, Frances and Julie. The family have an established background of nursing – their mother and elder brother are fully qualified nurses and own two Residential Care Homes, Easterlea Rest Home in Denmead, where their elder sister is the Registered Manager and Elizabeth Lodge in Alverstoke.
Between them Julie and Frances have over thirty years experience in the care industry and are both NVQ 2, 3 & 4, and RMA Course qualified. They still enjoy going out and working alongside their carers, which enables them to have first hand contact with their service users. That way they can ensure that the quality of care being delivered reaches the high standard that they expect.
Julie and Frances have used other home care services in their personal lives for various family members, and felt the quality of the care delivered could have been better. This was one of the reasons Sisterly Care Ltd was born.
Sisterly Care’s priority is to ensure that all staff are fully trained to the highest standards.
Our management promote on-going self development through various voluntary courses, as well as mandatory training, for all their staff. This promotes ongoing care that continues to reach that high standard.
The basis of our service is to deliver a client-centred approach that caters for individual needs in a caring manner; we believe strongly in respecting clients’ rights and dignity.
Both sisters believe in going beyond the call of duty, and it’s an ethos that they pass onto their staff on a daily basis..
The success of this approach was reflected by the recent award of Runner Up in ‘Carer of the Year 2014’, sponsored by The News.
